While it seems just like yesterday that we were ushering in a new wave of flat-screen televisions using buzz words like Plasma, DLP, LCD and the still relatively new and growing LED units, one of the most exciting innovations in the almighty quest for the best home theater experience is 3DTV.  What does this mean exactly?  Well chances are you probably went and saw Avatar over the holiday break just like everyone on the Teknoglobius staff.  Assuming you paid the higher ticket to watch the movie in 3D (the only way to watch Avatar btw), 3DTV promises to deliver that same experience in the home.  Imagine instead of picking up the regular Bluray edition of Avatar, you could now buy the Avatar in 3D Bluray release and relive the entire spectacle all over again or see the movie for the first time in its true splendor well after it has left the theaters!  With Hollywood pushing more movie productions in 3D, the videogame industry also looking at true 3D gaming and soon-to-be lower costs for the 3DTV sets, we are going to literally experience a new dimension in the way we enjoy entertainment in the home.  Check back here for our continuing coverage of hot CES trends straight from the showfloor.  You can now remove your 3D glasses.
